Sweet white wine
Grape variety : Sauvignon white and grey 80 %
sémillon 15%, muscadelle
Annual production: 15 000 bottles
WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE … IT’S TERROIR :
The grey Sauvignon is an exceptional variety that can become almost blue-grey when it reaches full ripeness. A very fragile wine that requires care and advantageous orientation of the plantations just like Pique-Sègue knows how to do it.
When late harvesting of over ripe fruits is done they are called “passerillés” or “raisined” grapes. It can then offer exotic flavours…
The Côte of Montravel is a white sweet wine produced on the ground of Montravel.
Its unique taste has peach, passion fruit, pear and pineapple flavours with a refreshing hint of blackcurrant bud. A rare taste in a subtle and full of character sweet wine.
SUGGESTION FOR ACCOMPANIMENT :
Serve chilled but not ice-cold to maintain flavour. An elegant fruity wine perfect with white meat: veal, pork, rabbit, chicken but also with blue-veined cheese.
ALONG WITH :
Sauté of cushion of veal with morels
Saddle of rabbit with prunes
